Fire detection technology in bus depots is the topic of a VdS conference on May 2/3, 2023 in Cologne. Dr. Jörg Kelleter, an expert in sensor technology from our ADICOS division of industrial fire detection technology, among others will explain the possibilities and advantages of innovative fire alarm technology.

The symposium will focus on what fire risks can exist in bus stations and what aspects need to be taken into account beyond the previously common fire protection measures. It is precisely the increasingly alternative types of drive that harbor new risks. This applies to regular service buses as well as intercity buses and coaches. New approaches include fire alarm systems that motivate and instruct helpers to intervene in the event of a fire or even to become active earlier, when fires are still in the incipient phase.
