At the VdS Technical Conference on Fire Protection in Chemical Plants on November 13, 2025 in Cologne, Dr. Jörg Kelleter, our expert in Industrial Fire Detection, bridges current research and practical applications. His presentation will demonstrate how multimodal sensor technology helps to detect plant malfunctions at an early stage. The basis includes results from the Mimose-A research project, which develops smart, networked sensor nodes for comprehensive, self-learning plant monitoring. Especially in chemical plants, this technology opens up new possibilities for fast and reliable detection of leaks or malfunctions – ensuring greater safety, efficiency and availability.

The event is organised by the VdS Training Center in cooperation with DECHEMA e. V. and will be held in German language. It will take place both on site and online.
