Thermal imaging camera for ATEX zones 0 to 2

HOTSPOT-X0

The HOTSPOT-X0 is the world's first infrared fire detector with an approval for explosive gas atmospheres of zones 0 to 2 for the sensor unit. The associated interface is approved for ATEX zones 1 and 2. The innovative thermal imaging camera is used for early fire detection in chemical parks and gas power plants as well as in all other areas where gas explosive atmospheres prevail.

The HOTSPOT-X0 detects excess temperatures and flames and supports several alarm zones with independent alarm parameters. This ensures the best possible adaptation of the detector to the respective application. Its compact design allows it to be used even in confined areas. HOTSPOT-X0 thermal cameras can be directly integrated into the fire alarm bus for fire alarm control panels.

Sensor Unit & Interface

The HOTSPOT-X0 infrared fire detector consists of a sensor unit and an interface. The HOTSPOT-X0 sensor unit is an infrared detector unit.  The HOTSPOT-X0 Interface-X1 takes care of the evaluation of the sensor data. Together they enable optical and spatially resolved fire and heat detection within hazardous areas of ATEX zones 0, 1 and 2. The ADICOS HOTSPOT-X0 Interface-X1 is the interface between the sensor unit and the fire alarm panel and also serves as a connection distributor.

IR Heat Detectors HOTSPOT

The detectors of the HOTSPOT product series are equipped with thermal imaging cameras and use infrared measurement technology and intelligent signal analysis to detect all types of smoldering fires and open fires, even in the incipient stage. The fast response speed of 100 milliseconds enables the monitoring of conveyor belts or other conveyor systems, e.g. on moving embers.
