The Bundesverband Metall, Federal Association of Metal  working companies, has published the editorially revised Gate Guideline 2024. The technical guideline of the metal working industry refers to swing and sliding gates made of metal. The guideline has been equipped with new images and revised drawings and takes into account the current versions of DIN EN 12453 and DIN EN 12604.

Metal fabricators, customers and suppliers of operator and safety technology have a common interest: ensuring safe and functional gate systems. Gate manufacturers must know the gate parameters for planning and risk assessment, as they are responsible for the safety of the gate system. The Gate Guideline systematically and clearly explains what needs should be taken into account when installing gate systems, in particular it explains the topic of "force measurement on gates" in detail. Sample declarations and checklists make the Gate Guideline a useful companion in metal construction, from planning to implementation.
