Three weeks of pure summer! During the CITY CYCLING campaign from 22 June to 12 July, our team covered an impressive number of kilometres by bike – enjoying plenty of sunshine, a few hot summer days and lots of motivation.
The results speak for themselves: the GTE Industrieelektronik team cycled a total of 5,672 kilometers for the municipality of Viersen in the district of Viersen. This marked the fourth consecutive year that GTE has taken part in the campaign, and the team almost doubled last year's distance.
Summer is the perfect time to commute by bike: fresh morning air, a cooling breeze instead of traffic jams and a relaxed start to the working day. At the same time, cycling helps reduce CO₂ emissions. Through its international CITY CYCLING campaign, the Climate Alliance Services promotes cycling, climate protection and a better quality of life.
As in previous years, GTE's three most dedicated cyclists were rewarded with gift vouchers sponsored for the E-Bike Outlet in Viersen.
