"Lithium Batteries 2023 - Transport. Storage. Disposal" is the name of the technical conference that will be held in Göttingen, Germany, from January 23 to 26, 2023.  The organizer is the journal fokus GEFAHR/GUT, which this year has placed a new focus on "Approval procedures for the storage of lithium batteries".  Other exciting topics include upcoming new classification rules, different fire protection concepts, and new standards. The conference will be held in German language. Our expertise from ADICOS Industrial Fire Detection  Technology is represented at the conference by Guido Vieten, ADICOS Division Manager, and Dr. Jörg Kelleter, responsible for Research and Development.

On the first day, Dr. Jörg Kelleter will give a presentation on "Scenario-based detection and damage prevention concept when using Li-ion batteries". He explains the optimal detection and the appropriate action for each phase of a fire and shows practical examples. On the third day of the conference, Guido Vieten reports on "Detection of potential ignition hazards". He puts special focus on the challenges of logistics processes in waste management.
